Zena O’May studied singing at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She has recently expanded her vocal range and now sings Soprano, as well as continuing to sing some Mezzo Soprano repertoire.

 

Zena has worked for various opera companies including English National Opera, Covent Garden Festival Opera, D’Oyle Carte Opera Company and Nottingham Festival Opera. She also enjoys a varied Oratorio and Concert repertoire.

Zena gained further notoriety by winning the Wagner Bayreuth Bursary competition.

 

She has been the Mezzo Soprano soloist for the Italian “Pereta” concert series, under the direction of renowned conductor Robin Stapleton. 

Currently Zena sings with Deborah Norman as part of Duetta, and is working with the North Wales Opera Studio, as well as performing solo engagements.
