Robin Gruffudd, baritone

'Si Puo? Si puo?' Pagliacci prologue (In Welsh)

Robin Gruffudd is a Baritone from North Wales. He studied Music and Media at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Carmarthen. He has performed in various opera productions and concerts in Wales and Kuwait.

 

His operatic debut came in 2012 when he was in the chorus for OPRA Cymru's tour of Verdi's MACBETH. After this, he has been involved with various productions with OPRA Cymru which were BANQUO (MacBeth , 2013) Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia, 2013), Don Pasquale (Don Pasquale, 2018) and Rocco (Fidelio, 2019).

 

He also was one of the first singers to be involved in OPRA Cymru's first promising artists residency which finished with a concert at Criccieth Memorial Hall with Welsh tenor Rhys Meirion.

Banquo (MacBeth, Verdi), Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Rossini), Don Pasquale (Don Pasquale, Donizzetti), Rocco (Fidelio, Beethoven).
