Eleanor Kemp, soprano

Eleanor is a postgraduate student at Trinity Laban conservatoire in London where she is the Kathleen Roberts vocal scholar. She studies with Anne Mason and Jennifer Hamilton. Eleanor’s recent roles include Nada (Sokolovic’s Svadba), Rosette (Massenet’s Manon), Meg Page (Verdi’s Falstaff) and Elise (Chatpentier’s Louise) for Trinity Laban opera, Mrs Hake (Haik’s Mr and Mrs Hake and the Magic Princess fish) for Mini Operas for mini people, and soloist (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) for the London Mozart Players.

 

Eleanor is also experienced in concert repertoire and oratorio; previous engagements include Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, Handel’s Messiah, Martin’s Mass for double choir and Purcell’s Ode on St Cecilia’s Day.

 

Eleanor takes part in competitions and masterclasses regularly, and earlier in the year she sang for Jonathan Dove in his birthday concert at Blackheath halls, she is also a member of the Trinity Laban contemporary vocal ensemble to celebrate female composers
